Cold update.

As you can tell I really don't have anything to write aboot. Eh? So, after running the humidifier all night, and taking a good dose of cold meds, I feel a lot better today. My nose is chapped from it running and having to blow it all day, but at least it a sign of getting better. I've still got the voice of Tone-Loc, but that is the least of my problems.

Summit update....

She's growing like a weed, so if you haven't seen her yet, you'd better get your butts over here before it's to late, and she's all growed up. She's learned her name and how to sit already. What a smart little one. She goes into her kennel all on her own and hasn't had a potty accident in the house in over a week! Things are coming along, but with each step forward, we come across something else that she needs to learn. Like not to eat the moss that grows at the foundation of the house, or not to bark at our Chipotle cups, and why the hell does she chase her tail for so long, and why doesn't it hurt her when she bites it? What the hell!? She did have an accident in her kennel on Monday night. It looked like a poo explosion! It was on everything. Yuck! But somehow she kept it off herself? Don't ask me how, but she did. Overall she's a great little pup. And now, here's some pics.....

Stupid head cold!

It's Wednesday, and I'm still fighting off this damn head cold! I called in sick on Monday, worked Tues, and there wasn't any work for Wed so I got another day to rest. I'm to the point now that the cough has turned from annoying tickle to lung clearing, and now my nose is plugged on one side and not the other then randomly it will switch. I went to Target tonight and stocked up on the drugs. I've got Hals for the cough attacks, Aleve Cold & Sinus non-drowsy for the day, and Benadryl maximum strength Severe Allergy & Sinus Headache for the night. Ugh...now I think I'll go and turn the shower into a steam bath.

Weekend Update

Had a fun weekend. We went to the third place game in the WCHA finals. Wisconsin Badgers vs. St. Cloud Huskies. Wisconsin won in overtime, with only 14 seconds left. Had they not scored it would have ended in a tie. Then we went to Pete and Anne's new house for St Patty's day. They have a great place! There we watched the Gophers win the Broadmoor Trophy, beating the Fighting Sioux, of North Dakota in OT 3-2. The final goal was amazing! The Gophers are a number one seed in the 2007 NCAA Men's Division 1 Tournament. Their taking on Air Force on Sat, and then it looks as though they will have to play the Sioux again, unless Michigan, can defeat the feathers, but the Sioux are a tough team, and they'll probably be playing extra tough in order to get to the Gophers again.

Sunday was a lazy day, as shown by my wife's blog.....

Summit has been full of piss and vinegar lately. She's really getting into mischief. She likes to test our patience. We let her outside cause she obviously has to do her business, and she lolly gags to no end. She goes out and digs up dead leaves and moss and tries to eat them. Then we we try to get her back inside she just sits there and looks at us. If we go out to pick her up she tries to elude us by running and she thinks it's a game. I think I'm going to change her name to "chomper" cause she feels that she has to bite everything. The good news is she's just a puppy and it will pass.

That's all I know now.

Wine Box

Here's a little project that I've been working on. It's a wine box. I made it out of Maple and Brazilian Cherry.
I saw it in Wood Magazine, and thought I'd give it a try. I think it turned out pretty good. Happy housewarming Pete and Anne. ;) Oh, and I want a review on the wine. I got a bottle for myself but haven't tried it. It's supposed to be really good. Enjoy!

Snow? In MN?

Lots and lots of snow! This second round of the white stuff, brought 14 inches to our sidewalk. We've got drifts over 24 inches and an average of 22 inches in the front yard. There's snow banks at the end of the driveway and by the mail boxes that are as tall as I am. I haven't seen snow like this in probably 15 years. It's AWESOME! Perhaps a little late in the year, but better late than never. Eh.

It was a slow week at work. I had a mostly full day on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday, however, I was off at 12:00pm and 10:30am, respectively. Friday I worked till 7:00pm. Thursday I ended up being off. Which worked out well, since we were almost snowed in anyway. Weird. It sounds like we've got a full week coming up, so that's good.

We're going to look at our new puppy again on Saturday night. She'll, be getting her 8 week shots and then we'll be taking her home. Hopefully next weekend. Baring any unforeseen problems, that is. I can't wait. We had decided on the runt of the litter, but after a miss communication and another look we are going with a larger one. The runt is going t a different family. She's female chocolate lab. She seems to have a great personality, nothing seems to bother her. The guy that we're getting her from just started at Above All. It kind of worked out well, cause I've been looking for a while. I was working with him on Tuesday, and we were talking about dogs. I had mentioned that I was looking for a Lab puppy, and he told me that he had two females left from his litter of chocolates. I couldn't believe it! What are the odds? He brought the two females down to our house for us to look at. So far things are working out great. I've got to pick up the little crate from Todd, and his Spot Bot. Then we should be set!
